In 1988, Kay Kuba founded Global Computronics, Inc. (GCI) and set out on a journey to redefine technology product sourcing in corporate America. The company quickly earned a reputation as a smart and innovative technology product sourcing company, demonstrating its passion for helping its clients identify and create their ideal technology environment.
As the technology industry grew at a rapid pace, so did GCI Systems. By 1995, GCI Systems had solidified its leadership position in the technology product sourcing industry. Recognizing the value it brought to corporations, the company began offering IT services and changed its name to GCI Systems to more accurately reflect its service offerings.
By the turn of the century, GCI Systems provided Technology Life Cycle Management services to many large companies. Recognizing the continual evolution of technology, GCI Systems added two service offerings: technology assessment and security services.
The latter was of special interest due to the growing dependence on information technology, the proliferation of the Internet, and the advent of e-Business. GCI Systems recognized the need to develop a business unit dedicated to assisting its clients secure their technology environments.
GCI Systems continues to operate under this Technology Life Cycle Management philosophy. The goal is to help GCI Systems’ clients optimize their business by providing value through total technology cost reduction and productivity-enhancing solutions.
